Ares Apex: compact direct drive, real feel

The CONSPIT Ares Apex is an 8 Nm direct drive wheelbase, designed to deliver a clean, precise and accessible response, even for those stepping up from entry-level systems.

The 8 Nm give you force feedback that is already far more direct than belt or gear-driven wheelbases, without necessarily requiring an extreme setup. The steering wheel feels more alive, more stable and easier to read, especially through changes in grip, over kerbs and at the moments when the car starts to lose its footing.

Skew-Pole motor and 21-bit encoder

The skew-pole direct drive motor of the Ares Apex is designed to reduce cogging, vibrations and irregularities in torque delivery. On track, this translates into smoother rotation and more natural force feedback.

The high-resolution 21-bit magnetic encoder allows the wheelbase to read steering movements precisely. This helps with micro-corrections, rapid changes of direction and those moments when you need to feel clearly what's happening between the steering wheel, front end and tarmac.

CDR Quick Release and tidier cabling

The CDR Quick Release system provides a fast, stable connection between wheelbase and steering wheel, simplifying installation and steering wheel swaps.

The Ares Apex can also work with dedicated accessories to improve compatibility with USB steering wheels, keeping the setup tidier and reducing the cables running around the rig. On a modern cockpit, this makes a difference: less clutter, fewer distractions and a cleaner rig in everyday use too.

The CONSPIT 310 Apex is the steering wheel included in the bundle. Its 310 mm size makes it suitable for GT, Formula, prototypes and modern categories where you need a responsive steering wheel that isn't too small.

The aluminium and steel construction gives a reassuring sense of solidity, while the control layout is designed to handle important functions without taking your hands off the steering wheel. It's a steering wheel for those who want more control in races, more quick-access functions and more complete management of car parameters.

Display, LEDs and configurable controls

The 310 Apex features a 2.99” LCD display to show race data and telemetry in real time. Having the information right on the steering wheel helps you keep track of gear, laps, car parameters and useful references without relying solely on on-screen overlays.

The steering wheel offers up to 104 programmable inputs, with RGB buttons, encoders, rotary switches, 7-way joysticks and customisable LEDs. This number of controls lets you manage maps, brake bias, ABS, traction control, strategies and race functions more quickly and neatly.

Hall paddles and dual clutch

The 310 Apex paddles use Hall sensors and a magnetic system designed to deliver crisp, precise and repeatable shifts.

The two clutch paddles make the steering wheel even more appealing for standing starts, Formula, prototypes and categories where clutch control can make the difference in the first few metres. It's not just about changing gear: it's a steering wheel that gives you more tools to control the car.

CPP Apex: hydraulic pedals for better braking

The CONSPIT CPP Apex completes the bundle with a pedal set designed to improve the most important aspect of driving: braking.

The brake uses a hydraulic solution with a 10MPa sensor, designed to read pressure precisely and progressively. This helps under heavy braking, but above all with modulation: when you need to release the brake on corner entry, keep the car settled and work on trail braking.

Two-stage feel and precise throttle

The CPP Apex brake offers a two-stage feel: a softer first phase, which simulates the initial bite, and a firmer second phase, useful for building a clear physical reference underfoot.

The throttle uses an enclosed design with a Hall sensor, designed to maintain a clean, stable response over time. On corner exit, especially with powerful cars or little traction control, a progressive throttle helps you meter the power better and reduce traction errors.

Conspit Link 2.0 software and customisation

The bundle works with Conspit Link 2.0, the software that lets you manage the wheelbase, steering wheel and pedals.

You can adjust the force feedback, create profiles, configure response curves, customise LEDs and adapt the behaviour of the setup to suit the sim or the car. This makes the bundle much more flexible: more progressive for endurance and GT, more direct for Formula and hotlaps, more controllable for long sessions.
